Teeth whitening Hilversum – Would you like to get whiter teeth? Not too flashy but just a little fresher, or maybe just Hollywood-white; with our at-home bleaching method, you are in control of how long you continue bleaching and what the result will be! 

After a digital impression, individual bleaching moulds are made to fit over the dental arches. Space is kept in these molds for the application of the bleaching gel. You can wear the molds with gel at home in the evening/night for 4-6 hours a day. After the 2nd time, you will start to see your teeth getting whiter and you can continue until you are satisfied with the result. On average this is after about 10 times.

We do teeth whitening with 16% carbamide peroxide (corresponds to 6% hydrogen peroxide) which usually does not cause sensitivity. If it does, it is often due to dehydration of the enamel and will go away within a few days. We can provide a rehydrating gel that can be used in the same moulds to prevent afterpain or remedy it more quickly. You may bleach daily, but should the teeth become sensitive, you should wait until the sensitivity is completely gone away again. 

Furthermore, it is important to realize that during – and up to – several days after teeth whitening, the enamel becomes temporarily more porous. This means that colorants can be absorbed into the enamel. Think of coffee, red wine, but also tea, tobacco products and strongly colored foods such as spinach. Therefore, it is important to minimize the use of these products as much as possible during the bleaching process until 5 days afterwards.
